ontem, quando cheguei aqui, em alto araguaia, fui primeiro ao hotel plaza, onde consegui a concessão da permanência da lady. depois fui jantar no ponto recomendado - restaurante e chopperia pantanal. achei graça, e me lembrei de barão geraldo, pois o astral também era parecido. hoje quando acordei fui procurar a prefeitura e descobri que abria depois do meio dia. parei na praça, liguei o radio, e fui informada de que esta noite estavam comemorando 10 anos da fundação do campus da unemat na cidade. tinha exposição, palestra, homenagens etc. fui lá conferir. encontrei um pessoal muito legal, começando por susyara que me recebeu, marlon rodrigues, que é meu colega de doutoramento pela unicamp, e vários outros que infelizmente não me recordo dos nomes. fui convidada a participar das comemorações e fiquei feliz de ter essa oportunidade. 7:30 da noite estava lá e conheci muitas outras pessoas interessantes. dentre elas os artistas silas marques de almeida e josué souza gleriano, ambos pintores e responsáveis pela formação de muitos outros da comunidade. a noite terminou com uns bons choppes no pantanal e muito papo gostoso.

yesterday, when i arrived, first i went looking for a hotel which accepted lady, then i had dinner at the restaurant pantanal. when i woke up this morning, first thing was to find the major's office and find out about the artistic and cultural center that they might have. well, it opened only after noon, and i sat at the local square and started listening to the radio, when i found out that today there was a celebration at the state university local campus for the 10th anniversary of it's inauguration. i went there and met wonderful people and was invited to tonight's party. they had an exhibition, speeches and presentations, and we ended the night at restaurant pantanal, with lot's of chatting and beer.
